Unlike in the UK, there is no requirement for surveys to be undertaken in France before purchase, but whilst surveys are not a specific requirement, peace of mind is.

There are many documentaries on British TV about people buying property in France, highlighting possible pitfalls and problems. The property survey we carry out includes a full inspection of the property, covering all aspects but specifically concentrating on movement, timber defects/infestation, damp, insulation, services, the site and drainage to produce a conclusive report on all internal and external elements of the property. The survey focuses specifically on defects within the property with advice concerning their rectification being clearly dealt with in the report. Specific concerns or queries, such as possible future renovation works etc can also be included within the report. Each report is also accompanied with digital photographs.
